Storms and Sunsets

Sometimes a passing storm can deliver a lovely subdued sunset.

We can also experience this in the journey of life -- although 'storms' may hit us and toss us around, there is always something positive that comes from these experiences.

Whether we learn from them, we grow as a person, our character is tested and strengthened or our courage increased.

These storms serve to shape us, to make us the best version of ourselves -- if only we are humble enough to allow it.

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." - Helen Keller

Character - yes, something often quietly developed in the dark and stormy places.

Looks like a quiet place to think and come back to for shooting privileges. Very nicely done!

These photographs of a sunset are magnificent. Words that come to min when seeing these images: Peaceful. Serene. Quiet. Meditation. Helen Keller's quote I will take along with me during today. What a quote!

Yes, we've weathered some horrendous storms already, and are still dealing with the cleanup. But you're right - they do strengthen us and if we learn gratitude, can develop our character. I love your photos from Minippee.
